St Andrew’s Church - Bexhill-on-Sea

‘Seven times a day will I praise thee’ says the psalmist (Ps119v164)
The ancient monastic office is built up from this exhortation, and comprises:-

Vigils (after midnight)
Lauds (morning)
Terce (mid-morning)
Sext (noon)
None (mid-afternoon)
Vespers (evening)
Compline (night, last prayer of the day)

This sequence of prayer can be also known as the divine office, the liturgy
of the hours, or simply the prayer of the church..

If you would like to join in with the prayer of the church, then
the following links will  access today’s services, which include the
appointed collects and psalms.
